The Holidays with Old Navy

SHOP ALL THE LOOKS HERE

Creating moments and lasting memories have a whole new meaning this year, and we’ve found a lot of joy in the in-betweens! The long car rides listening to our favorite music, the quiet (and not so quiet 😜) afternoons at home, the endless evenings in the kitchen trying new recipes. You know, the in-betweens — those seemingly simple moments that actually help keep us grounded.

We need to talk.

We need to talk. *trigger warning // weight loss, eating disorders*

Friday night I watched something that triggered me so much. I’ve been wanting to talk about it but at the same time I’ve been afraid to share it in case it triggers you too.

There’s a very well-known female on IG, Twitter, Facebook etc who has managed to rally the meanest, most hateful humans around her and anything she says, they believe. Her words are hurtful. The way she says them. The words that she chooses to use to intentionally hurt others. Every single time I watch her videos it makes me feel like I’m in high school being bullied by a mean girl.

Learning about Día de los Muertos with Walmart Home

Did you know that Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is different than Halloween? Dia de los Muertos is a Mexican holiday that began over 3000 years ago, to celebrate the lives of loved ones who have been lost. Most families who practice this tradition decorate and treat the deceased ones as guests of honor. Celebrations occur from Oct. 31-Nov 2nd. Emmie and I have loved learning about this!! We love learning about other cultures and their traditions. This one is absolutely a favorite!

This year, Walmart has put together a collection on their website for Dia de Los Muertos with beautiful and affordable items! I absolutely love all of the home decor items we got and if this is a holiday you celebrate, I highly recommend everything in this blog post. My favorite items are the cupcake tin, goblets, and pot holders! #WalmartHome is one of my home decor go to’s lately.

Today I’m partnering with a brand I’ve loved for years and years, Nordstrom! But this campaign is about more than just fashion and clothing. I am honored to be able to share with you what they’re doing and have been doing for a while now to ignite change in the world. Nordstrom Made brands are designed in-house by Nordstrom. What I think is really cool about this is that this gives them the ability to do even more amazing things with the money they make off of these sales.
