SPANX 3X-XS SWIM NEW ARRIVALS
Is it just me, or is it always SO hard to find swimwear that stays in place?! I am always on the hunt for the perfect suit that helps me feel confident and fits right, but also I don’t want it to look matronly. For my fellow size 18/20 apron belly girlies, I THINK I HAVE FOUND A SOLUTION!
I am so excited to share this new swimsuit haul! You may remember when I tried the very first SPANX swim launch last year — well, they are back with a new drop for spring/summer 2024, and I am trying new pieces out to give you my honest review!
As a reminder, I am 5’8, wear a 42DD in bras, typically a standard 18W but sometimes a 20W, usually a 2X, naturally high-waisted, and have an apron belly.
I’ve found that SPANX typically runs true to size, but I typically take a size up in their swimwear, so most of these pieces are in a 3X. Pay attention to my sizing notes on each item, and don’t hesitate to drop a comment below if you have any questions!

Longline Flounce Swim Top (3X) | Ultra Hi-Rise Cheeky Bottoms (3X)
New color alert!!! I seriously love this so much! The Longline Flounce Swim Top is so supportive and the fabric feels so high quality. Love the little peplum detail too! The Ultra Hi-Rise Cheeky Bottoms have a good bit of compression without feeling too restrictive and they are an apron belly girlie’s dream. Great coverage. Great support. Wearing a 3X in the top and bottoms!
LONGLINE SWIM TOP (3X) | Ultra Hi-Rise Cheeky Bottom (3X)
Wearing the same Ultra Hi-Rise Cheeky Bottoms here but switched out the color of the same Longline Flounce Swim Top and I love how this looks! Wearing a 3X in the top and bottoms!
Plunge Bikini Top (3X) | High Rise Swim Skort (2X)
You might recognize this High Rise Swim Skort from last year — I got this one in a 2X and it fits great on me, but if you’re unsure or between sizes, it doesn’t hurt to size up because there is compression! This Plunge Bikini Top is basically the same fit as the peplum one just without the peplum piece of fabric! I stayed with a size 3X here and it fits my 42DD bust perfectly! There’s no underwire in these swim tops but they are SO supportive and lifting. It’s magic!
Halter TankinI (3X) | Ultra Hi-Rise Cheeky Bottom (3X)
This is absolutely, hands down the best tankini top I have ever put on. It has everything I love in a tankini. It’s a halter style, the fabric feels so nice and high-quality, and so supportive. I got the Halter Tankini in a 3X but I honestly think the 2X would have worked on me. Wearing the black version of the Ultra Hi-Rise Cheeky Bottoms here and surprise, surprise, I love them just as much — maybe even more. This is my ideal kind of swimwear to wear on the beach when I am playing in the sand with my kids. I feel super cute and free enough to move around but also nice and secure.
Plunge Bikini Top (3X) | Ultra Hi-Rise Cheeky Bottom (3X)
This one is the same Plunge Bikini Top as before in a 3X but this time in black with the same 3X black Ultra Hi-Rise Cheeky Bottoms. Love, love, love it! This one makes me feel so confident!
Long Sleeve Swim Shirt (2X) | Plunge Bikini Top (3X) | Ultra Hi-Rise Cheeky Bottom (3X)
You guys are always asking for plus size long sleeve swim options for extra sun protection, so I’m so excited SPANX brought back this Long Sleeve Swim Shirt! I threw this on top of the Plunge Bikini Top and Ultra Hi-Rise Cheeky Bottom, and it is so comfy and functional! I am wearing a size 2X and it’s perfect for those days after you get just a little too much sun at the pool/beach!
Plunge Swim Dress (2X)
This is the most amazing swim dress EVER! I actually get asked for swim dress options constantly, so I’m so glad I have this one to recommend! I got the size 2X in this Plunge Swim Dress, but I found it fit snug and a bit short on my body — I am naturally high-waisted so one pieces and swim dresses often run short on my torso. I would recommend sizing up in this one! It’s so cute and chic, and honestly kind of just looks like an athletic dress you could totally wear out and about before heading to the pool! LOVE it!
