Before I go into detail about this ethically made plus size designer… let’s chat real quick about my Day 4 of fashion week. It was my last full day in NYC. That morning was “the morning” when I experienced all of this (click to read post), so for the afternoon I went back to the hotel and chilled for a little while. Then I pulled myself together, and made my way to Spring Studios to see two fashion shows. The first one was Chiara Boni la Petite Robe which was beautiful, but I was disheartened that they didn’t have any plus size representation on the runway (considering they do carry it, I was surprised).

Anthropologie sponsored my trip to The CurvyCon this year, and I was more than honored to attend on their behalf. The CurvyCon was really amazing… since I was floating back and forth from NYFW events to CurvyCon events I noticed a stark difference.

Saving the best for (almost) last… because this is my favorite. In the short history of House of Dorough, this is probably the most “me” look I’ve ever styled. When I was outfit planning for going to the CHROMAT fashion show (which was so diverse and so amazing, check my IG story highlights to see), I knew I wanted to wear this amazing coat by Tamara Malas. Often times, when picking a look, I start with one statement and then come up with the rest.
