PLUS SIZE SUMMER CLOSET STAPLES // GSTQ
Today, I am showing you guys some new high-quality closet staple pieces from one of my favorite women-owned brands, GSTQ! This brand is more on the spendy side, but I wholeheartedly believe that you are getting what you pay for! All the GSTQ pieces I own have held up so well and I continue to reach for them because of the quality. They do an amazing job making classic, timeless clothing that feels fun and modern at the same time.
Below, I will show you how I mix and match their new summer pieces to make 5 fun looks perfect for all your summer activities!
As a reminder, I am 5’8, wear a 42DD in bras, typically a standard 18W but sometimes a 20W, usually a 2X, naturally high-waisted, and have an apron belly. Wearing a 2X in everything tried on in this post!
LOOK ONE
The first thing that stood out to me when putting on these 2 items was how incredible the fabric felt. I am super sensitive to fabric textures, especially in the summer. Living in Georgia, you do NOT want to feel like your clothes are sticking to your body in the heat. These pants are INCREDIBLE. Like seriously so soft and comfortable and lightweight. The top is so classic GSTQ — taking a classic plain black top and making it so fun with the cut. I am wearing a 2X in both pieces and they run true to size on me!
LOOK TWO
This is a pair of pants I already have in black, so I already knew I was going to love these! This is SUCH a fun, bright color for summer and the fabric is super breezy and light. I paired it with a shirt in the same color for a little monochromatic moment — even though it’s not how I would personally gravitate to wear these two pieces. This top is so cool because it has a drawstring that lets you decide how long or cropped you want it to be! Once again, wearing a 2X in both pieces and they fit true to size!
LOOK THREE
I am living for this combo! Both of these pieces are out of this world comfy and cozy but not hot or heavy. It’s a summer miracle lol! The top has a nice upper arm coverage without feeling boxy or frumpy, and I LOVE the drawstring tied up so it hits right at my naturally high waist! Once again, wearing a 2X in both pieces and they fit true to size!
LOOK FOUR
I definitely prefer these pants with the asymmetrical black top — I feel so chic and cool! Absolutely no notes on these pieces. I can’t wait to wear this all summer. Once again, wearing a 2X in both pieces and they fit true to size!
LOOK FIVE
Last but not least, we have this incredible lightweight black wrap dress that truly has a place in everyone’s closet. I swear when I put it on it felt like it was cooling me down (???). I do recommend wearing a black or dark bra with this dress — my nude one was shining through just a bit in certain lighting. You could easily dress this look up for a special event or down for everyday wear. So many options!! I am wearing a 2X here and love the fit!
