PLUS SIZE DENIM SHORTS UNDER $50

I think we can all agree, finding denim shorts can be super challenging. I am always on the hunt for a good quality pair of denim shorts that gives me support, enough stretch, and doesn’t break the bank. I recently tried out 3 new pairs of denim shorts from maurices and created some super cute outfits with them! I continue to be so impressed with maurices, and these looks were no exception!

For reference, my typical sizing stats: 5’8, 18/20, 2X, 42DD bra

DENIM SHORTS (18W) | TANK TOP (2X) | DUSTER (2X) | SHOES

Wearing an 18W in the KanCan™ Americana Pocket High Rise 5in Ripped Shorts - you might want to consider sizing up in these. I am wearing my typical size and found them a little difficult to zip. I paired these shorts with a coral Highline Ribbed V Neck Tank Top in a 2X and it runs true to size! I finished the look with this super cute and flowy Poppy Floral Cinched Sleeve Duster in a 2X and a pair of Polly Studded Flatform shoes. This is absolutely my go-to summer outfit and I can’t wait to wear it again and again!

DENIM SHORTS (18W) | TOP (1X) | SHOES

Wearing an 18W in a pair of Classic Mid Rise 8in Bermuda Shorts - I usually shy away from mid-rise bottoms because I am so naturally high-waisted, but I didn’t mind the rise in these. I do think I would like these a bit better in a size 20 for a little extra length in the rise. I really love the way they fit my thighs and how they look with this flowy top! I got this Paisley Ruffle Strap Tank Top in a size down (1X) to make sure it fit me properly under the arms (as a reminder I am a 42DD bra size and I have found tops like this one fit me best in a 1X). I finished the look with a pair of Pearl Block Heels.

Wearing an 18W in the High Rise Belted 5in Shorts - the belt is removable! I found that these ran a little on the smaller side in the waist, so if you are between sizes, I would recommend sizing up. They do have stretch! Wearing a 1X in the Clip Dot Tie Neck Tank Top - I sized down for the same reason as the previous top! To complete the look, I added a pair of Piper Striped Wedge Sandals. I think this is so cute with the shirt untucked and tucked in - can’t go wrong!
