As we are transitioning into Fall weather, I like to be very intentional about the items I buy and why. This year we saw a lot of movement in the fashion industry towards more size inclusivity, and now would be a good time to try some higher quality clothing for really affordable prices. Like, we’re talking Target prices, people! A lot of these items also come in standard!

I’ve always stylistically aligned with Anthropologie but have never been able to shop there, so to speak. Sure, I could find the most fabulous kimono or pair of earrings or shoes. Or maybe a dress that ran big. But it was never a promise. This is a dream come true.
Today I visited the Avalon Anthropologie in Alpharetta, GA and I was so warmly welcomed by the staff. I was BLOWN. AWAY. by the selection. It felt like almost half of the store is plus size now. After I have this baby… I will have an AWESOME POSTPARTUM WARDROBE of regular clothing that isn’t skin tight while I’m getting back to my regular mom-bod.
Here's what you actually need to have when it comes to maternity clothes - for everything else, just try to be INTENTIONAL about what you’re buying and how long it will grow with your belly and whether or not you’ll be able to wear it after baby.

“Are you calling yourself plus size just because you’re pregnant?”
“What size were you before you got pregnant?”
These are just a few examples of questions I get ALL of the time. From real life friends and family, to people I don’t know on the internet.
