Natural Deodorant Review Roundup

It’s no secret that I love natural deodorant, but natural deodorant doesn’t always love me….and you can probably relate. While I love the idea of using less unrecognizable chemicals and more natural products, it’s also important that I have a deodorant that I can trust to work and keep me feeling fresh all day. I also have sensitive skin, so some natural deodorants irritate my skin. Below, I’m giving my thoughts on four different natural deodorants, as well as their EWG Skin Deep rating, an organization that rates products on both their effects on the body as well as their effects on the environment!

Keep in mind, that everyone’s bodies respond differently, and your PH can change periodically as well, so even if something works for you for a little bit, there’s always a chance your body will change its mind.

By far my favorite, this is the deodorant my skin responds the best to. I don’t have to reapply throughout the day, and the smell is incredible. I love both the lavender and the sensitive.

Ingredients: Dipropylenegylcol, water (eau), glycerin, propylene glycol, sodium stearate, poloxamine 1307, fragrance (parfum), butyrospermum parkII (shea) butter, aloe barbadensis leaf juice powder, chamomilla recutita (matricaria), flower extract, stearic acid, disodiumedta, simethicone, BHT.

EWG’s Skin Deep Rated it 4 out of 10. The deodorant scored low on enhanced skin absorption and ecotoxicology, moderate on endocrine disruption and organ system toxicity, and high on irritation.

This deodorant has the most ingredients that are recognizable, from coconut oil to baking soda, and even shea butter. I liked it at first, but it started breaking me out after a while, which was a huge bummer.

Ingredients Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Tapioca Starch, Ozokerite, Sodium Bicarbonate, Magnesium Hydroxide, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Cyclodextrin, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Dextrose, Lactobacillus Acidophilus, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Rose Geranium Flower Oil

EWG’s Skin Deep Rating: Native has BY FAR the best EWG rating, coming in at a 1 out of 10. The only high part of the rating is for the lab-made chemicals that is has which have some links to allergens. In every other way, this deodorant seems to take the cake.
