BACK TO SCHOOL // Fashion Prep with Emmie

This post was sponsored by Stitch Fix, a brand I truly love. Thank you for supporting House of Dorough.

Back to school shopping… it is honestly one of my most favorite memories.  When I heard Stitch Fix was catering to kids now, I honestly had no idea what to expect. But you guys. I have fallen HARD for it. Ever since I saw my Emmie girl lay eyes on her first “fix” … it had to have been one of the cutest things ever. She was SO excited to get a fix just for her, and she loved the personalized note with stickers. She delicately opened each item and gave her review of it. It was so funny. Gah, I love this girl. Watch the video on IGTV here.

HOW IT WORKS:

  1. Create an account. If you already have an account for yourself, you can add your child to that account.

  2. Set up a style profile for your child. This part is fun… they ask you lots of questions to try and grasp your kids’ personality.

  3. Set your budget and how frequently you’d like to receive a “fix”

  4. Cancel anytime, and if you don’t like anything they send you… all you pay is the styling fee ($20!)

That’s it. If you decide to return an item, it is SO easy… they include a return bag already labeled.

Oh, and bonus: If you decide to keep the entire box, you get 25% off of everything.

What was in our fix?

When I filled out the style profile, I made sure to let them know that Emmie prefers to dress herself and LOVES to mix and match. Also her favorite color is white. ;) The stylist took note of this and made sure to send items that could easily be mixed and matched! Look at Em, putting her outfits together and trying them on in the mirror. Seriously the cutest thing. Her first fix had fun skirts and dresses and she just got another fix that had adorable jeans and shoes and great clothing for the Fall. Everything is priced under my “cutoff” point that I selected per item, which I really appreciate. Also I love that you can adjust the frequency.

It’s worth noting that since the Stitch Fix box came she will not stop asking when she can go to school and wear her new clothes. Ha! I love this girl and her passion for fashion.

School doesn’t start until September for us, so this is extremely convenient for me because we are still living it up over here for a few more weeks. The last thing I feel like doing is going to a shopping mall right now, to be honest. Also, this has really given her something to look forward to when the school year starts.
