THE SWEATER BLAZER YOU DIDN'T KNOW YOU NEEDED
This post is sponsored by Talbots and Stylinity. Thank you for reading this and supporting House of Dorough.
I’m both a blazer lover and a sweater addict but I had NO CLUE I needed this sweater blazer in my life. Camel is a classic, rich color that I love to incorporate into any wardrobe. It reads well and basically goes with anything. My favorite kind of neutral, and Talbots’ version of it is beautiful and the quality is amazing. Today I’m showing you how to style this blazer 2 ways! I am wearing size 1X in the blazer for reference.
Talbots has partnered with Oprah Magazine to create a capsule collection. 30% of those proceeds will go to benefit Dress for Success, which is why I am so excited to be a part of this campaign!
For Look 1, I wanted to focus on an easy way to look chic when you’re on the go. This is an outfit that I would actually wear in my day to day life as a mom who needs to look presentable for lunch meetings and work events throughout the day. But I also have to be able to run and pick up the kids and actually take care of them. Ha! Not possible in some of my outfits. I paired the blazer with a simple black top and white jeans, grey sneakers, and a striped scarf. Totally put together, but effortlessly easy and chic.
For Look 2, I wanted to have a little fun with this look so I put it with these ankle pants. They are almost like joggers, and I love the cut of the leg - it’s not a style I typically wear but I absolutely love these. I am a die hard print and pattern mixer - so decided to pair the striped pant with a polka dot shell, add a block heel to elongate my legs, throw the blazer on top, and add the striped scarf to my bag. I feel like this look as SO many dimensions and I absolutely love how it turned out. Business meeting? Yep. Lunch date? Yep. Event? Yep. Gotchu covered girlfriend.
