IT WAS MY FIRST TIME GOING TO THE CURVYCON // and here's what I wore and what I thought
Anthropologie sponsored my trip to The CurvyCon this year, and I was more than honored to attend on their behalf. The CurvyCon was really amazing… since I was floating back and forth from NYFW events to CurvyCon events I noticed a stark difference.
If you read my post from yesterday, I talk about the fatphobic vibes that surrounded NYFW. It’s easy to feel defeated in those situations, but I gathered all of my video footage from the CurvyCon and I want you to watch it.
Watch these beautiful, big bodied women loving on eachother, encouraging eachother, and living their best lives. This is what it’s all about. CLICK TO WATCH THE IGTV HERE.
I encourage you… if you ever have the chance to attend CurvyCon, DO IT!
Now, on to my looks… ;)
I am sure by now you’re tired of hearing me say this, but… I freaking LOVE ANTHROPOLOGIE. The fit of the clothing, the make of the clothing, the company in general… I am so impressed with how they’ve executed the extension of their sizing.
Here’s a closer look at my outfits and shopping links + size details:
DAY 1 LOOK:
This outfit was perfect for the first day of CurvyCon. Comfy but cute sneakers and cool jeans made it comfortable to walk around in. I am BEYOND in love with BlankNYC suede moto jackets (I used to squeeze into an XL) but now I am so thrilled they’re making my size. I am wearing a 1X here but I later tried the 2X and prefer that fit much more.
JEANS: size up… wearing the 20. Absolutely love them.
DAY 1 EVENING LOOK:
I wanted to wear a dress that made me feel special but was also comfortable. This is probably my favorite dress I’ve worn this year. I took a size 18.
DAY 2 LOOK:
This one is my favorite. At first, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to put with this skirt. Then I saw the watercolor top and thought… DARE I PUT THESE TWO TOGETHER?! YES. I did. And I loved what happened. So impressed by this skirt by the way… loved the fit of it.
Thanks again to Anthropologie for believing in your vision for APlus and for including me in this.
