GRATITUDE ON A MONDAY, with some style on the side

I can’t sleep, and all I can seem to think about right now is gratitude. Like, out of nowhere, I was just overcome with an extreme amount of thankfulness for everything great in my life right now. Funny how that happens.

I’ve had a rough couple of days. Between lack of sleep, anxiety, hormones, and emotions... it’s just been hard on my soul.

But as I’m going to sleep tonight, I’m reliving all of the weekends events and through all of the stress and tears shed (these hormones are no joke you guys) all I can feel is thankfulness.

I’m grateful for my husband who loves me unconditionally and supports all of my crazy ideas. He lifts me up when I’m down. And buys me ice cream when I need it. And also picks up everything off the ground endlessly because it hurts me to do so… ha!

I’m grateful for my 2.5 year old daughter, even though she pushes my limits some days - she is my greatest joy and the most amazing human. She teaches me more about life than I could ever imagine. She is my everything. I’m thankful for her current health, and praying that we get a good report from her cardiologist on Wednesday.

I’m grateful for job opportunities, and for waking up to messages from readers like you, who are telling me my story is helping them live their best lives. Seriously: thank you. If I can just reach one of you, and inspire you to love yourself a little more than yesterday... that is my goal.

I’m grateful for family and friends who are so supportive. I don’t know what I’d do without all of you in my life.

We have a crazy week full of anxiety triggers for me: a fetal echo of our new baby’s heart, and also Emaline’s yearly echo to see how her heart is doing (read her story here).

I’m also taking a crazy leap of faith and starting a freelance job tomorrow that will consume me completely for the next little while, but I think it’s what I need to be doing right now. It will help us tremendously with finances and health insurance, and I’m getting an overall “good vibe tribe” feel from the people I’ll be working with so… here’s hoping.

I might be scared, overwhelmed, and anxious about this new season of life we are embarking on... but that doesn’t have to define me. Thinking about all of the things I’ve been blessed with has truly helped bring me back down to earth, if that makes any sense at all.

This non-maternity dress is one of my faves, seeing as this hot southern weather is not going anywhere for awhile. I'm wearing the XXL!
