EASY SUMMER STYLE WITH A SHIRTDRESS

FTC DISCLAIMER: I have partnered with Macy's & Tommy Hilfiger to showcase their latest plus size collection. Thank you for the support for House of Dorough, I only work with brands I love and believe in!

HEY, ladies! It's summer, I'm pregnant, and yep - you guessed it, I'm hot ALL OF THE TIME. This means that one of my biggest goals every day when getting dressed is to find something EASY. Like, I basically just want to wear an oversized version of my husband's button up shirt all summer long. Is that so wrong?!

There's nothing I love more than a cute, EASY dress I can throw on in the Summer. Tommy Hilfiger has just launched their plus size summer collection and I was THRILLED to be asked to partner with them to style my favorite piece! NOTE: This dress is NOT maternity! I sized up to an 18W.

Seriously though. There's something so easy and chic about a shirt dress like this that I can't get enough of. For a casual day out on the town you could throw easy sneakers with this dress, like I did. Or you could easily wear it to grab dinner or drinks with friends with some cute wedges!

This is yet ANOTHER amazing non-maternity find, I just sized up to an 18 (I'm normally a 16) and there is plenty of room for the bump!

THE FIT: The brand tends to run more narrow, so I would size up if you're in between.

THE FABRIC: It's a light weight cotton/denim blend which is easily steamed out when wrinkly. It's light enough for the summer heat for sure.

THE LOOK: Menswear has always been an inspiration for women's fashion and I've always been intrigued by it. The shirtdress is a simple, feminine take on something that is classically a men's style. Like I said above, you can easily dress this look up or down by simply your shoe choice!

One more thing and then I'll let you go. Is it just me or is it SO INSPIRING to see so many designers making clothing in wider ranges of sizes now?! Even just a year ago, I remember feeling so defeated thinking it would never happen. When a designer decides to carry sizes bigger than a 12/14, its basically like them saying ALL SIZES MATTER. Right?! Because let's be honest. Beauty isn't about what size you are. It starts on the inside. Size ain't nothin' but a number, babes. Don't forget that.
