PLUS SIZE ABERCROMBIE HAUL

So I kept trying. More and more and more, and guess what? The fit has only gotten better and better. I am completely sold on this brand now. Do I wish they’d just unveil an actual PLUS SIZE SECTION? Absolutely. But, in the meantime, I’m happy with what I’m able to enjoy while I can. Although every time I wear it, I can’t stop thinking about how much money they’re losing by not creating a full plus size collection. Literally no one makes clothing like this in a full size range, so they’d be rolling in the dough. Anyway…

During one of their recent sales, I ordered a big haul for Spring/Summer and here are my thoughts on everything!

Rule of thumb with Abercrombie if you’re plus sized: Always size UP in denim, get your regular size in leather pants, and tops and dresses run generous. Typically, I’ve been able to wear an XL in their tops. I’d like to make it extra super clear that I AM NOT AN XL. The way they’ve cut their clothing… it’s obvious that they use a true plus size form and fit model. Which raises the question… again… Abercrombie, can we get a plus size collection?! IT WOULD DO SO WELL.

Okay, okay. Let’s dive in! WATCH THE VIDEO HERE

  1. TOP (XXL) | JEANS (35/20)

The thing that attracted me to these jeans in the first place was that they’re called “90’s slim straight” — I love the idea of a 90’s high rise jean on me but the thing I don’t love is that the leg is wider, and as someone who has naturally slimmer legs I prefer them to not be super wide.

With Abercrombie jeans, I prefer the regular non curve love because I have a flatter booty and a slimmer thigh. If you have thicker thighs and a thicker booty, definitely get the curve love version!

This oversized button up is so lightweight and comfy, I think the XXL fits like a true 2X in my opinion.

2. TOP (XXXL) | JEANS (35/20)

This top, I was unsure of the sizing so I got it in an XXXL. I actually think I’d like it better in the XXL, but this size works fine. Super cute with high waisted jeans like this!

3. BODYSUIT (XL) | BUTTON UP SHIRT (XXL) | JEANS (35/20)

It’s no secret that I LOVE Abercrombie bodysuits - and this one fits me in the XL. Reminder, I am not an extra large typically. The way the fabric gently hugs you is incredible, and I am forever in love with my bodysuit collection. I also am a huge fan of their oversized button up shirts like this one, which I am wearing in the XXL. Honestly, I probably could do the XL in it. There is a bit of stretch there too!

4. TOP (XXL) | JEANS (35/20)

Okay, since this try on I have worn this top SO many times. Something about it is so incredibly flattering, and it’s so comfortable. It’s lightweight but not like, too lightweight if that makes any sense. The color goes with SO many things. I am wearing the XXL and I think the size is perfect for me.

5. DRESS (XXL)

This dress is AMAZING. 10 out of 10, for real. The XXL fits my 2X body perfectly and I am SO excited that they have snaps at the chest!!!! And pockets!

6. DRESS (XLT)

Tried the same dress but in an XLT and it’s a little tight around the hips but I still love it. Definitely prefer this dress in the XXL. Overall, cannot get over the feel of the fabric in all of these dresses.

7. DRESS (XL) | STRAPLESS BRA

Absolutely love this dress! I am wearing the XL and it fits my 2X body perfectly! Also linking my go-to strapless here!

8. DRESS (XLT)

This dress is so cute, I can’t get enough of this print! I am wearing the XLT which fits me perfectly in the underarm area… but it did feel a little short and tight in the hips!
