Reflecting On NYC // 3.24.20

Real talk ✨ so much has happened since I was in NYC a few weeks ago. I will forever cherish my time there and all of the photos I have from that trip because it was, for lack of a better word, magical.

Obvious reason it was magical: I was on a brand trip that I am beyond honored to be involved with.

But also magical because I was able to connect with my dear friend @roseybeeme on a deeper, creative and artistic level. I once had a reader ask why I take professional styled photos and I explained to her it’s an art form for me. I get a vision, and being able to creatively bring it to life is my actual dream job. Taking photos and creating something with friends isn’t easy - but when you find someone who respects your time as much as you respect theirs, and someone who’s willing to get down on the ground to get the shot because THEY JUST KNOW, and someone who absolutely, without a doubt, holds no space for jealousy in this business... you embrace them. And you also bounce around town at 6am taking photos and somehow manage to still make your 10am flight! 😉

Lastly... it was magical because for the first time, I protected my energy and my space. I’ve never been good at doing this in the past but I’m learning.

I know it’s a weird time right now. And I’m going to continue posting my travel photos because they’re so much more to me than just photos. I hope you can feel it when you look at them.
