LEGGINGS STYLED 2 WAYS
FTC DISCLAIMER: I have partnered with Macy's & NY Collection to showcase their latest plus size collection. Thank you for the support for House of Dorough, I only work with brands I love and believe in! #NYCollection #macyssponsored
You guys KNOW that I am all about wearing leggings year-round, especially while I'm pregnant. I do appreciate a good pair of jeans, don't get me wrong. But these days - I need the most comfortable option out there!
And, as I've said before: Leggings are hard to style - I totally get it.
Today I've partnered with Macy's to show you TWO unique ways to wear leggings with tops from their plus size NY collection!
STYLE #1 // A HIGH-LOW TOP
I've always been a fan of dramatic lines, especially those that mimic a tuxedo. I love this high-low top and how extreme it is! I also love the vertical lines that are flattering, as well as the button up feature in the front. Basically, when I wear a top like this I FEEL LIKE I CAN RULE THE WORLD. #justcallmebeyonce
To pull off this look, you definitely need a strong, classic pair of shoes to pull it together. I love my go-to black booties for this reason.
This top is perfect for all seasons, as you could easily layer a long jacket over it for winter. But for summer and spring, I love how lightweight it is, while still giving me arm coverage. This top is working for me during pregnancy but will also work when I am postpartum (which is key for me lately!!)
What kind of body can pull of this type of top? If you don't have many curves in your waistline, the drawstring factor can create those curves for you. If you're hourglass or pear shaped, it only accentuates the curves you already have which is great. If you're uneasy about your midsection, this style of top works in your favor as well because it's so loose and forgiving.

STYLE #2 // A VERSATILE, FLOWY TOP
Often times, women are worried about their shirt being too short to wear with leggings. This top in particular is long enough in the back and the front to give you ample coverage. I love this top and the interest it brings to a basic legging look! The print is super fun and I love the colors.
I also love the look that layers bring to an outfit; it's so functional. These days, I'm all about acquiring wardrobe that will work for me in tons of different ways.
This particular top is long enough to wear without a layer, but I wanted to show you how versatile it is! I paired it with my leggings, boots, and a cozy cardigan. Ditch the layer for the summer and spring, and add the layer for the fall or winter.
Both of these tops are non-maternity, but I'm able to wear them now and postpartum which is FANTASTIC!
