EMALINE'S 2nd BIRTHDAY
Our sweet, precious, hilarious daughter turned TWO! We are throwing her a birthday party next weekend, so on her actual birthday we decided to keep it low key. We slept in and had a lazy morning. Later, we took her to eat at our favorite local taco shop, followed by coffee (hot chocolate for her) and treats! It was a fun little family day, just the three of us.
Favorite moment: after she took her first bite of the cupcake, she looked at me with a huge grin and said "Mommy, I happy!" Oh. My. Heart.
WHAT WE WORE
I am all about CONVENIENCE and COMFORT. Especially when I know I'm going to be chasing my toddler. Trust me, if something isn't comfortable I am not wearing it. I got these SPANX faux leather leggings (wearing a size XL, but they also come in 1X-3X here... I probably could have done a 1X because they run small) for Christmas and I absolutely love them! I threw them on with my favorite booties (which are also super comfortable) and this oversized flannel and boyfriend trench. My pom beanie is from Love Your Melon, which I love supporting because all purchases benefit pediatric cancer research. Unfortunately all of the pom beanies are sold out, but they have other cute ones and re-stock all the time! Check them out here.
Em is wearing adorable Doc Marten knockoffs that she got from her Aunt for Christmas and I'm obsessed. Ain't NOTHIN' wrong with fakeys, especially for a growing child! The romper is my favorite and so cheap - I got it from Babble Bear. Side note: Pairing rompers with tights and boots is MY FAVORITE toddler style ever.
